INSTITUTO SUPERIOR DE ENGENHARIA DO PORTO

Since 1852, ISEP has become a successful trademark in the education and innovation of Engineering, preserving its commitment to the future. Anchored in an applied knowledge-based educational model (hands-on), ISEP follows the international best practices in European quality certification, favoring the development of academic projects in businesses and research groups.

More than 6,500 students and 500 employees benefit from an excellent teaching and learning environment, a prestigious and close faculty and quality infrastructures, where a strong international cooperation policy is promoted a well as a global overview of opportunities.

Cooperation with more than one hundred European higher education institutions enables students exchange through the Erasmus program and international cooperation protocols. The double-diploma agreements with Spanish and Brazilian institutions and the exchange and research partnerships with American, Asian and Portuguese-speaking counterparts should also be emphasized.

Tradition and Innovation in the Engineering School with more certified programs in the Iberian Peninsula.

As a member of the CDIO consortium, we joined the worldwide leaders in the promotion of a hands-on teaching and learning process which embraces the challenge of training the next generation of engineers. This ability to enforce good practices also supports the leadership of projects such as PRAXIS - European Center for Project/Internship Excellence or the involvement in the Carnegie Mellon University and MIT-Portugal Portugal programs, among others.

The true recognition of its excellence is also translated into the European quality certification OE+EUR-ACE, the main European quality reference in engineering education, a process that is led in Portugal by the Portuguese Chamber of Engineers, of which this School is an honorary member.

More than 160 years teaching and innovating, but the best is yet to come.
